Third Friday Update _ 8/19/22

Third Friday Update – August Edition

Help out our Sustainability Team:

As we continue to deepen our commitment to sustainability at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and throughout our surrounding communities, we would like to hear from you about your awareness of and participation with our sustainability efforts. Results from this survey will allow us to track our improvement and progress over time. Please take the time to complete this Sustainability Engagement Survey to better understand what sustainability at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden means to you.

Please click here to take the survey by August 31st

The confidential survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete. Upon completion, you can enter to win one of four paintings done by our animals at CZBG!  The Paintings will come from a variety of animals – the Red Panda photo with painting below was included because it is a cute attention grabber! 😉

With your help, we can ensure that the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden continues to grow its role as an environmental steward well into the future.”

 FRITZ-A-PALOOZA

Unless you have been completely off the grid you know that the whole world has gone Crazy for our new adorable Baby Hippo Fritz!  Thursday was the first day that the public was able to see Fritz in Hippo Cove and today (Friday) we had a packed house all afternoon!  The Zoo has done such an amazing job sharing Fritz with the world and we have enough Hippo Baby content to fill an entire Newsletter just with him.  Here are just a few of the highlights:

Volunteer at Zoofari

LAST CHANCE to Sign UP!  Get your name in no later than Monday, 8/22!  I will be assigning roles and sending them out to everyone during the first week of September!

Zoofari is back in SEVEN WEEKS on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 – Did you SAVE THE DATE?  Now is the time to sign up to Volunteer and attend the WILDEST event in Town!
The theme for Zoofari this year is Evening in the Everglades, and we are celebrating Thane’s 45th Anniversary at the Zoo!  We’re so excited about Zoofari Through the Zoo (again) and deeply appreciate the CZBG Volunteer Team stepping up to make this the best Zoofari yet! This annual fundraiser would not be possible without the support of volunteers, and WE NEED YOU to help make it a huge success!  There is also an option to bring a spouse/partner/friend to join in on the fun and Volunteer with you side by side.  We hope to see you there!
