Zoofari:
Remind Ambassadors about the Opportunity to Volunteer at Zoofari. The sign up is still available in the VOlunteer Update. There will be an additional Sign Up in the Third Friday Update that will be sent out on Friday – This will be a Last Call!
Check-Ins & Evaluations:
Thank you for all the support and dedication to the Check-Ins and Evaluations. Over the past few weeks I have went through every one, multiple times, and pulled all the themes. I will be working on the report this week and plan to send it out to all of you as soon as it is finished!
Wing of Wonder/Free Flight Aviary:
- Wings of Wonder:
No coverage on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Friday Crew, please let me know if the afternoon Rover can help with at least one, if not both of the shows. If anyone can help on the weekend days, please sign up. They are now flying Ori in the program and need to make sure they have help to ensure the safety of Ori and all the other birds.
- Free Flight Aviary:
I am currently talking about the future of the Aviary now that schools are back in session. At this point, we will not be asking Ambassadors for any additional help with the coverage of the Aviary.
COVID Policy Update:

- Masks are required in the Education Building at all times, KN95 masks are preferred by the Education Team. Please feel free to talk with your team and discuss the idea of moving roll call updates outside if you team is uncomfortable wearing masks in the building.
7th & 8th Grade & Teens:
- Thank you for all the time and dedication for our Campers and Teens this summer! I appreciate everything you have done to make these programs successful!

- If a Habitat is Closed and it is not listed on “The Daily” – Send me an e-mail so I can contact Visitor Experience and make sure we add it.

Africa
- Welcome to the Zoo Family FRITZ!! For all the updated information we have on Fritz, please see the link below!
- Hippo Cove will be closed in the mornings until at least Wednesday. Please make sure that the Ambassadors in Africa are aware of the closure, and know that there are additional Ambassadors working at the barrier and in Hippo Cove until 3pm each day.
- Sir Francis Bacon, the Red River Hog in the Cat Ambassador Encounter, has a birthday on Friday, August 19th.
- Urban Lion Safari
- Have you participated in the Urban Lion Safari, or talked to visitors about participating? There is still time to participate! Click on the link below to learn more about it!

Elephant
- Elephant Trek: Construction is progressing. Concrete is being poured at the site of the Elephant Barn. Materials are in and Barn Construction will begin soon. We are still on track to have the barn complete by next Fall.

- Mara’s birthday was on 8/13, make sure that you note the change in age.

- We have not had an Animal Update from the Animal Team since 8/3/22. If we receive any additional information, I will pass the information along.
