Cincinnati Zoo Needs Your Help to Keep #1 Spot on USA Today’s Best Zoo Lights List!
CINCINNATI (November 14, 2019) – Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s PNC Festival of Lights took the top spot last year in USA Today’s Best Zoo Lights contest! The Zoo is nominated again this year and needs support from our friends and followers to move back up to #1.

“We’re thrilled to be nominated again this year,” said Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard. “We were voted #1 last year, and the event is even better this year! There are three new areas and even more lights!”
Hippo Cove is lit this year and has been transformed into Fiona’s Fairland, where visitors can search for little Fiona statues hidden in high and low places. The Northern Lights area, located next to Cat Canyon, is also new and provides an amazing photo opportunity. There are more food and beverage options, and a new walk-in entry will streamline getting into the Zoo. This is in addition to the traditional offerings that have kept visitors coming to PNC Festival of Lights for the last 37 years!
Being recognized as the best two years in a row would remind the world that Cincinnati is the place to be during the holiday season! WE NEED YOUR VOTE! You can vote once per day per device until noon on December 2.
The Zoo opens daily at 10 a.m. The PNC Festival of Lights is open 5 – 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5 – 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays November 15 through January 4, 2019, except on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
