Conservation Partnerships

Good Morning!

In the coming weeks, you will be able to hear more about our long-term partnership with field conservationists in Congo as Thane shares his firsthand experience from his journey to the Mblei Bai Project.  The article below is based on the long-term partnerships between field conservationist at Mbeli Bai and Zoos in the US and Europe.  Included are great examples of intense association between partners and the many positive feedback loops that result from this type of alliance.   In addition to the work at Mbeli Bai, the CZBG has also developed this type of partnership with two carnivore programs in Africa; 1) in Kenya’s South Rift with SORALO (http://soralo.org/) and 2) in Tanzania at the Ruaha National Park (http://www.ruahacarnivoreproject.com/).  They are great examples of engaged conservation partnerships that go well beyond just providing funding.
