Hello Horticulture Volunteers,
Just an email to remind everyone, as we start a new season, to log their volunteer hours in MVP. If you have issues logging hours, please feel free to contact me or Mollie or Sabrina at the Volunteer Services Office and we will do our best to keep you on track. Here is a refresher, just in case…
- Log into your account by going to www.myvolunteerpage.com and enter your username and password. This will take you to your Home page where you can read announcements, etc.
- To log hours, click on the “Hours” tab. Next to “Activity,” click the drop-down menu and select the appropriate task under the “Horticulture” heading.
- Under “Date Volunteered” enter the date that you volunteered and the number of hours that you worked. Enter your hours (whole numbers only, no decimals) and minutes (15, 30, or 45), then click ‘Save’. Make sure to record only the time your shift starts to the time it ends.
A few notes on logging hours…
- Please remember to log hours volunteering for Horticulture under the “Horticulture” heading.
- Please remember to only log horticulture hours under the following categories:
- Educational Events – Tree Carnival, Pollinator Carnival, Symposiums, etc
- Gardening at Bowyer/Wetlands/EcOhio
- Gardening at Zoo & Fidelity
- Horticulture Training (This covers all horticulture orientations & education sessions.)
- Public Exhibit – Horticulture Cart (Gardening for Wildlife Station/What’s Blooming Ladder)
